Rock-a-bye baby...

Being a mum has changed my life completely! And it's an amazing and exhilarating experience having to run around my 1 year old son! So here's a blog dedicated to all would-be-mums or mums who always dream of having that perfect little space for their tiny ones! My way of styling a nursery and some tips to share with all of you. Sharing some of my favourite shops that can help you design your very own nursery.

Going all baby pink for your baby girl!

Have calming tones or colours in the nursery. Wallpaper on one wall adds a subtle yet perfect design statement for your nursery. Adairs kids wall decor have reusable stickers that are easy to stick and yet give an effect of wallpaper! Less hassle of sticking an entire wallpaper, instead these stickers prove much more easy to work with and still give the desired result.

A Baby Crib, changing table and an armchair are a must to have in your nursery. Choose them wisely and they don't have to be expensive, but comfortable for both baby and you. A Boori baby cot and Ikea armchair and changing table that are both comfortable and functional! My armchair was super comfy, had amazing back support and was just right for me and made long hours of feeding a breeze! I dint buy a changing table at all, but made use of the chest of drawers as a make-shift changing table!

Chest of Drawers and Bookshelves that serve a functional purpose along with a decor element. Love the simple white Ikea shelves and custom made bookshelves from Kids Kulture that are both equally simple and cute! Chest of Drawers, again Ikea is my go to shop but i also love these vintage chest of drawers from Orphans with makeup.

Pink chest of drawers

No nursery is complete without a few soft toys and cushions that add more comfort and cosiness to the room! Absolutely love the star cushions from Little Bambino Bear.

A rug to go in the room, that adds some much needed finishing touches to your nursery! Check out the ones at Winston and Grace. i simply adore their gorgeous felt rugs!

Remember adding too much decor too quickly to the room is something all expectant mothers want to do. All that excitement switches you into overdrive! Calm yourself and add things gradually.

As your baby grows, things will automatically get added to the room. Babies don't need much from their nursery other than the cot for the first six months, so take your time and design something special for your little one adding lots of fun and excitement along the way!

Happy nesting and happy decorating to all of you!

xoxo
