Celebration of Lights with a twist!

This one is a bit late too! The Festival of lights - Diwali is here too! Some of my tips for home decoration a different way. Sharing how I have decorated my own home.

Add those whites, pastel shades, baby pink and gold to your decor this Diwali!

A really elegant way to hang lanterns this Diwali! Check out some lanterns at Pepperfry, or the Bombay Store and you will have a variety to choose from.

Light up some candles instead of traditional diyas. Easy to style them in apartments and make a beautiful statement - on the front porch, passageway, or in the living room or even in the balcony. Get those twinkling tiny lights out and let it light up your home this Diwali!

DIY mason jar lanterns! It was a lot of work to get these up - but worth the effort. The photo doesn't justify the twinkling tiny lights! Very pretty at night time, hung outside our door!

A traditional lamp and two mason jars with candles! A simple yet cute look!

Decorate with some pink flowers for a change with a vintage inspired theme! My traditional look with a fresh look!

Use simple candle decor and make it look elegant with a touch of pink flowers and a rustic touch with an antique candle stand or just simple candles everywhere! A Vintage find serves as a holder for my decor below along with a cute candle.

My Pastel pretty pink diyas! Use normal clay diyas and paint them with acrylic paints of your choice! Acrylic paints dry very quickly and this is almost a 5mins job for a single coat. I have coated mine twice and they look perfect.

Make this Diwali even more fun by experimenting with a bit of freshness and give your home a unique look, this season with a vintage style.

Promise to write more next time! Hope all of you have a great festive season!
