7 Styles to watch out for in 2017

What's shaping up 2017? What do you look forward to?

I'm so excited to reveal my favourite home decor trends for 2017 that will be focussed on simplicity and wellbeing with shift to hand made, supporting local products and also with a move away from to digital mediums - something that i am totally looking forward to!

1. Styling - Tufted is the way to go! Upholstered bedheads, ottomans, coffee tables, armchairs you name it! Fabric and velvet textures everywhere!

2. Metallic elements in home decor- chandeliers, candle stands and brass finishes.

3. Tiling finishes - Travertine and Terracotta matte look compared to the white finishes or white subway tiles.

4. Colour palettes of deep purple hues, heather tones, lilac shades, muted tones of saffron, cinnamon nuetral tones and earthy looks. Also, with a trend to sweep in with inspirations that ooze shimmery tones inspired by metals, raw-cut quartz and opal. Some deep dark colours - jewel tones that exude luxury and richness and relate to nature.

5. Rooms or space in your home - People paying particular attention to their Study or a reading nook. Don't have to have a dedicated room to set up your study or reading area, but defining this space in particular will be an area that will be on focus in most homes.

6. Furniture - Recycling, repurposing and upcycling will be growing trends in the following year with more sustainable furniture and interior ideas.

7. Materials in vogue next year will be transparent fabrics, light silks, lace and sheers that will add soft and airy tones and a romantic element to 2017!

Hope you add these trends to your home! Hope to share more ideas

xoxo
