Halloween DIY Wreath Idea

October is here and we are all counting down to Halloween! This time I am even more excited, as my son is just like me and is so looking forward to celebrating Halloween - just so he can collect his stash of candy! But he has been encouraging me to start now, so we are almost all done with decorating our home with bats and spiders!

We have been busy this Sunday afternoon wondering if we can paint or just stick up all the decor we have with us. I thought of a quick DIY wreath idea today afternoon and it's a fun craft activity that you can create together with your kids!

Here's what you need -

1. White plastic plate

2. White masking tape

3. Scissors

4. White feathers

You can make this with any Halloween colour scheme you choose - Grey, black, white or orange or a combination of a few depends on what your theme is!

STEPS

Cut your plastic plate in such a way that you only have a circumference of the plate. The idea is to make a ring, this will form the base for your wreath.

LVB Tip - You can use any type of material to form your wreath ring - cardboard, twigs or a brass ring as a base for your wreath.

Cover the plastic ring with white masking tape all around. Make sure you wind the tape with slight gaps.

LVB Tip - If you choose some other material for the ring then you will need wiring to attach your feathers

Add feathers in the gaps so you don't need to add extra tape or glue and continue till the entire ring is covered.

LVB Tip - Make sure the feathers are added in one direction and sequentially.

A quick and easy way to set up your decorations and have fun along the way with your kids! Hope you like this. Coming up Halloween decor in my home in the next post.

xoxo
