Start to the new year has been an adventurous one! As with the beginning of a new year goes, we all make new goals, have new directions or are excited to venture into new or unknown spaces! So same applies to the world of home interiors, decoration and styling. Lets cut to the chase...
Here are some of the trends LVB recommends you definitely need when it comes to styling your home.
IN : EARTH TONES
This year the trend is use neutral earthy tones - shades of olive green, sand tones, beige shades and clay colours are in! The warm natural tones are a critical element while decorating your home as they work as an excellent canvas in setting up the design and style.

IN : RATTAN AND WICKER FURNITURE
Though we did see some of pieces of rattan late last year, it is making it's comeback this year! Refresh your home with chairs, tables, or lighting. This is bringing back the traditional living room decor back in vogue. The ability to transcend across a diverse range of interior styles and trends, making it the ultimate home must have!
IN : MULTI-FUNCTIONAL SPACES
As we move into an era of flexible working and seek the right balance between work and home, the use of study spaces is becoming increasingly important home this year. A flexible work space that is both inspiring and productive!
IN : CLASSIC INTERIORS
Old is always gold for me, my style is inspired by French country style and and this year you will see more traditional and classic styles in interiors. A more mix of traditional pieces that mix in with new designs and floor plans.

And here are some trends that are phasing out in 2020
OUT : INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
The trend that took over the cafe world is now on the way out this year. No more cold harsh finishes, concrete benches, cold colour palettes and lighting that has exposed bulbs and wiring.
OUT : SUBWAY TILE
I was never a fan of the white subway tiles and I am glad that this trend is on the way out and hopefully remains out. More herringbone patterns, textures and contrast colours and shapes are making its way this year!

Hope all of you are able to embrace these new trends and make little changes to your homes.
Until the next one...
